Previous experience in Project Controls as a Cost and/or Schedule Engineer at an Architerural & Engineering firm and/or Engineering & Construction firm. Previous experience in the utility industry. Typical Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be responsible for cost and schedule engineering on major customer related capital Added Facilities and/or Wholesale Distribution Access Tariff/Transmission Owners Tariff/Generation-Tie Line (WDAT/TO/Gen-Tie) projects that could include substation, transmission and distribution related types of work in the program. Typical responsibilities include: providing direct, one-on-one cost and schedule support to Project Managers for major programs/ projects; preparing and coordinating Method of Service (MOS) estimates/proposals to perspective customers; utilizing work order estimates to setup and establish a cost baseline for the project/program; initiating trends for project changes in scope, cost and schedule, and maintaining a trend log; perform a monthly cash flow analysis utilizing cost, commitment, and earned value analysis; forecasting year-end and final project/program costs; utilizing scheduling software such as Primavera or Microsoft Project as the project scheduling tool; setting up and maintenance of project schedules; monitoring critical resources needed for the projects; performing critical path and variance analysis; assisting in the preparation of multi-year budget cost and schedule data for the use in Capital Project Budget (Yellow Book) and General Rate Case; monitoring and forecasting capital work orders, including issuing Project Closing Analysis Letters to project team to help facilitate a timely closing; and performing other duties as required.
